Dark Fantasy – Tim Burton
One of the most famous, if not the most famous, dark
fantasy directors is Tim Burton. He is an American film director, producer,
artist, writer, poet and stop motion artist. He is most well-known for his
dark, gothic, macabre horror and fantasy films. His work is both capturing and
creative. Much like out idea he has recently taken two classic films and novels
and transformed them into a much more gothic style of fantasy. One being “Charlie
and the Chocolate Factory” and the other being “Alice in Wonderland”. I have
looked at both of his movie openings for these films and noted how his will
help me when creating my own movie opening in this genre.
